




I saw someone on Instagram the other day ask if anyone had any personal goals they were setting for themselves during this unprecedented time and it really got me thinking about my own. When all of this started I kind of got sucked into an unhealthy routine and have come to realize that wasn’t really helping me cope. At first it sounded nice to be a little more relaxed on bedtimes, sleeping in and indulging a bit too much on ALL of the snack foods we have in the pantry, but the longer I let myself do that the worse I was feeling.
The past two weeks I’ve really tried to focus on keeping to my previous routine of getting to bed by 10pm, waking between 6-6:30, getting a workout in 4-5 days a week and doing my best to create more balanced meals for the whole family (of course the goodies are still sprinkled in here and there). Just those few changes have really made a huge difference for me this week, both mentally and physically.
When it comes to “goals” I guess you could say staying on track has been mine thus far. I’m also trying to spend more quality time with Sophie, playing games and teaching her how to do a cartwheel (that’s her goal and I’m doing my best to help now matter how silly I feel lol). I’d love to know what your goals are! Do you have something specific you’d like to learn or achieve right now? Or is keeping to a schedule yours too (because I get it, that can feel really challenging some days!)?
