If you could outsource ONE household chore what would it be?
I’ve been asked this question jokingly by girlfriends over the years and my answer has remained the same – cooking! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t love folding laundry but dinner has always been something that has caused me so much unnecessary stress on a daily basis… I have favorite meals I love to make and recipes that I can admit are pretty darn good but something about coming up with a new dinner idea every single day just seems daunting. I was definitely a meal repeater on a weekly basis, so much so that even our family faves were getting worn out. Insert Home Chef!
Home Chef has changed the dinner game around here and this Momma just can’t rave about it enough! First off I’ll start by saying the quality of meat and produce are hands down the best! We live in an area where farm fresh produce is available right down the road (when in season) and our local butcher shop serves up some of the best meat you can get, so we are pretty picky when it comes to quality food and we’ve never been disappointed. I also love how all of the ingredients are measured out and individually packaged and the meats are kept in a separate bag so there’s never any cross contamination.
Next up, the meals. Oh the meals (insert praise hands here)! Not only has it been so fun to try new dishes but they are absolutely delicious! There is a collective sigh of relief when anyone asks what’s for dinner and the answer is Home Chef lol! It’s been a great way to introduce Sophie to new foods too and she enjoys being a part of the cooking process which is fun. I also LOVE logging onto the site and picking the meals each week – it’s so easy to Add, Pause and Edit all of your selections. Plus it puts my mind at ease knowing whats on the way so I can plan my grocery list for the rest of the week. Which brings me to my next point – I’m buying so much less at the grocery – it’s amazing what it’s done for our food budget! I’m no longer spending money one ingredients that we don’t use or that I only need for one recipe. We waste so much less food each week which makes me feel good.
I’ve mentioned it a few times over on Insta Stories but for our family of three I order two servings and it works great! Sophie isn’t a huge meat eater so she’s fine splitting the protein with me and there is always enough for all of us – as you can see in the photos above, filling three plates is never an issue!
If you’ve ever wanted to give Home Chef a try you can use code AMANDA100 to get $100 OFF your first four boxes (which equals ten free meals)! This is the biggest coupon code they’ve ever offered so now is a great time to try it out!
