If you’ve followed me for a while now you know that back in May I decided to go the natural rout with my deodorant – something I had tried before with not much luck… After reading through some of the gazillion five star reviews I decided Native was worth a shot! Y’all, changing your deodorant is scary! NO ONE wants to realize their deodorant is failing them while they’re out and about, which has totally happened to me in the past. No bueno!
First things first, WHY? Why make such a change when regular deodorants work perfectly fine? Well, here’s the thing – have you ever looked at the ingredient list? I’ll start by saying not every product in my bathroom is 100% natural and/or organic BUT there are definitely additives I try my best to stay away from. Native deodorant is free from aluminum, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, talc and SO much more! Did you know that after using aluminum long term it can take up to two weeks to rid it from your system…? Yikes! Also the ingredients that ARE in Native deodorant are some of my faves to use everyday! Coconut oil, shea butter, baking soda and vitamin E, along with a few other natural faves! And if that isn’t enough to make you want to switch it’s also animal cruelty free (insert praise hands emoji here)! I could go on, but you get the point. So many good feels for a deodorant brand making a difference!
Now we’ll get down to the nitty gritty. Does it work?? Girl (or boy), YESSS!
So here’s the deal, I switched cold turkey with no issue. Again I made the change in May when the weather was transitioning and I wasn’t dealing with crazy humidity or long days by the pool yet. After chatting with some followers and friends I had a lot of Native users tell me their tricks in case you need to “ween” yourself off of the good ole store bought stuff. Some said they started by using it every other day (switching on and off with their usual deodorant) for the first week and then more and more the second, and so on. Others said they would use it twice a day (morning and afternoon) until their bodies became adjusted well enough. Whichever way they went about starting the end result was the same – they LOVED it! I also had quite a few women reach out and tell me that the aluminum in the other deodorants is what causes those yellow armpit stains on white tee shirts (ick!) so they had their hubbys switch too. They have some really good Men’s scents! Seriously, my inbox had never been so full of love and praise of a particular product! From my personal experience I can tell you that pre-Native I was a frequent cold sweater which was so frustrating. It’s bad enough to sweat when you’re hot but to do it when you’re cold… not cool, literally. Since chaining over to Native deodorant I can’t tell you the last time I had that happened! We can call it a coincidence but the fact that it used to happen all the time and now magically doesn’t – I’m a believer haha!
Weather you’re looking to move to a more natural way of life all around or maybe just interested in cleaning up your beauty products, I urge you to give Native a try! They offer free returns and exchanges in the US, so there’s no risk to try, and they have the most fun seasonal scents to try (I’m lookin’ at you, PSL)!
If you use Native and love it leave a comment below! I would love to start the conversation here for those looking into all natural deodorant for the first time!
Xoxo

This post was sponsored by Native however all opinions are my own.
I decided to give it a try and I LOVE IT! The coconut vanilla scent is my favorite!
I switched to Native about 18 months ago and absolutely love it ! It was an easy transition and I adore all the beautiful different fragrances, I even love the simple packaging. I have recommended it to several friends and family members and it’s always a thumbs up
I switched to Native about 2 weeks ago and I am in LOVEEE! Not only do I feel better about removing the chemicals from my hygiene routine, but it smells sooo good! Using other deodorant, it can still be a little stinky when you sweat (just tinged with a “deodorant scent”🙈), but when I sweat with Native it still smells amazing! (That sounds so weird to say! LOL) Thank you for suggesting it and for your honest feedback!
